Hi my name is Linus Meng, I’m 22 years old and I studied Games Programming at the SAE Institute in Hamburg Germany. In September 2012 I achieved my SAE Diploma and in September 2014 I finished my studies for the Bachelor of Science in Games Programming. During my studies at SAE Institute I got to know the different aspects of game development and my favorite is the Front-End-Development (for example GUI- and Gameplay-Development). Currently I am freelancing as a software developer for Microsoft .Net and Unreal Engine 4 gameplay developer.
In my skilled work I developed a program for group management in C# and Windows-Forms. This program lets user create groups with specific properties and autocratically sorts them for other users with the matching properties (Similar to the Matchmaking of StarCraft 2 and World of Warcraft).
My diploma project was a multi-player First-Person-Shooter called „World of 7 Walls“ and was developed in Unity 3D. With two teammates we developed a simple but complete game in three months.
In my bachelor work I investigated the creation of GUI elements in combination with the Oculus Rift. I programmed a GUI element, which the user could control by head movements instead of using traditional input devices, like mouse and keyboard.
